Build a complete budget

Use the same categories when comparing two providers. A low initial price may leave more items unpriced; a longer list of inclusions does not establish better clinical value.
Questions before a deposit
- Can I receive the proposed plan before committing to a package?
- What happens to my payment if assessment finds treatment unsuitable?
- Which charges arise even if no procedure takes place?
- Is repeat treatment optional or required by the protocol?
- What evidence supports the treatment goal I am paying to pursue?
Keep the estimate and consent documents together. Ask for clarification of phrases such as “all-inclusive”, “maintenance” or “guaranteed results”.
Cost is one part of the decision
Discuss the potential benefit, uncertainty and alternatives with an independent clinician. Paying more does not make a treatment effective.
